IS IT IMAGES ALL WE HAVE BECOME?
IS IT IMAGES ALL WE HAVE BECOME?
This is a research based project. I want to share this journey as I experienced it.
It will be an installation based on the steps I went through while researching:

1. Overload
All the research shown before this text, is not even all the information I gathered from the topic. Topic that it relates to me more as HOW WE RELATE TO THE TECHNOLOGY WE CREATE. Is this culture saturated with the need of consuming images? What is it real from a representation? Is the spectacle so vain and empty?
Is it images all we have become?
This first step is an overload of information. In the 4 walls of the room there will be projected a compilation of videos, quotes, artists and concepts simultaneously. Aiming to create an anxious feeling in the audience.

2. Loading
All these questions made me double check with myself, what do I think about this?. What is it I am more exposed to and affects me? Social Media has a big role in all these. Do I think it's okay? Does it make me feel okay? So many questions raised.
This will be represented as a dark room. Lights go off, and the audience is faced to process all the information they have just seen. It will only last a few seconds.

3. Reaction
In this step, I faced myself finding my opinion. It feels overwhelming and makes me anxious. As the previous step intends to start creating an enviroment of self questioning, this is its continuity. Lights are on, and the heat in the room starts to go up.

4. Mirror
Now is me/ the audience confronting itself. The CCTV cameras will project live the actions of the person, meanwhile a microphone will reproduce the sounds of the room through the speakers. Moment to see yourself and how you act on what you experience. The paradox chosen by using CCTV cameras is related to the topic. Still is for me to figure out if this footage will be broadcast live, or if it will be a personal experience for the person experiencing it.

First try out of one of the 4 videos reproduced.
Still need to be made the other 3. And figure out sound design. Keeping in mind I want to hierarchy what I want the audience to listen to from the 4 videos
This is when the lights in the room go on. Because they will be construction lights, they will also help to bring the temperature up
The CCTV cameras will be connected to the projectors.
After experimenting with a projector and a cam recorder, I've tried with a raspberryPi, a camera and the projector. It seems to be the right option since I can code the sequence into it.
